This workshop will introduce you to everything you need to know about making stained glass windows. You will learn and practice the basic skills of the classic American Tiffany Copper Foil Method. This includes creating and laying out a pattern, selecting glass, cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, finishing, and framing, with ample time to perfect each of these skills.

The workshop consists of (5) 2 1/2 hour sessions. You will leave this experience with an 8”x10” window of up to 16 pieces, framed and ready to hang. All patterns, glass, tools, and additional materials are included in the workshop fees. You will have a variety of glass patterns to choose from, as well as a large selection of stained glass.

Your instructor for this course is Grounded Place Artisan, Peter Grandy.  With over 30 years of glass experience, Peter is a patient teacher willing to share all of his tips, techniques, and lessons learned over the years.

Class size is limited to 3 to allow for personalized attention. You must be 16+ to attend.

The skills you learn in this workshop series will provide the needed techniques to move on to more complex designs. This series is also the pre-requisite for all other Grounded Place Stained Glass Advanced Workshops (e.g., Moravian Stars).

Workshop Dates/Times If you are interested, please email groundedplace@gmail.com, mentioning this class and including your email and phone/text number.
